NYC - Broadway Bash 2022 - 3/24/2022
Broadway Bash 2022
Society Cabaret and Liven Up join forces to bring you a Times Square trip to remember.
What is the best way to experience Broadway? In the company of a bunch of Broadway nerds that can't get enough of the rich history, the intoxicating talent, and the concentrated artistry that makes this corner of the world so very special. Here's what we have to offer.
Thursday March 24 - Get yourself to NYC (air fare not included, but right now, as of this writing, it's cheap) and check in at the new M Social Hotel. Google that and take a gander at the pics. I remember this space from when 'Dirty Dancing the musical' threw their party for the Spring Road Conference. Broadway Millennium has now taken over this hotel and done a revamp. Check out the bar space. This is going to be a great place to gather through out the weekend and dish about the Broadway shows we've just seen. THEN in the evening --
We throw a "Welcome to Broadway" party at Sardis. THIS is going to be extra special cool. We want to run this kind of like the way we run our monthly open mic variety show "Curtain Call", so all you singers bring your songbooks. You'll get your shot to sing at Sardis!! It's almost like being on Broadway.
Friday March 25 - This day you have some free time; the dinner and show stuff doesn't happen till the evening. We'll have some suggestions for you like a Central park or Highline tour, perhaps one of the bus tours around the island or a backstage tour of Radio City. Statue of Liberty anyone? Lot's to do in NYC. Then it's the Friday night fancy dinner at a fancy restaurant to be decided upon, we have to see which classy joints are open and available come March (in the past we've done the Hunt Fish Club, Osteria al Doge, Tony's, and everyone's favorite Bond 45) then we're off to Music Man with Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman, at the Winter Garden right across from our hotel.
Saturday March 26 - We head to the Brooks Atkinson for a matinee showing of SIX. Then another fancy dinner and then we head to the Hudson Theater to see Sarah Jessica Parker and Mathew Broderick lock horns in Neil Simon's hilarious and poignant "Plaza Suite".
Sunday March 27 - We walk our way to Don't Tell Mama and take in the Broadway Boozy Brunch. This is always a big favorite way to finish off our Broadway Bacchanalia.
Not mentioned above (but probably the best part of the weekend) is all of us getting together for drinks after our shows and discussing what we've seen. Dish, compare, kvetch, brag . . . it's a Broadway Baby's Boon! So what does all this fun cost?

Sunday Add On Option - Haven't quite had enough Broadway? Then the "Sunday Add-on Option" is for you. We will head to a Sunday Matinee Broadway show (what do you like? Waitress? Chicago? Are you a Phantom Phreak? We will have some suggestions of what else is HOT!) then one more fancy dinner and one more night at the hotel.
