One of the most versatile and highly regarded performers in the Bay Area, Allison Lovejoy is known as a concert pianist, cabaret composer, vocalist, accordionist and educator.

As a classical pianist , she specializes in Romantic, Impressionist and contemporary music, and is known for her interpretative powers and tonal range at the piano.

Her debut recording “Allison Lovejoy, piano” features music of Chopin, Ravel, Debussy and Rachmaninov. Her recordings of “Nocturnes for Piano” and “New Nocturnes” explore a range of works by composers of this genre from the 1840s through the present, including George Rubissow and other San Francisco Bay Area composers, including Kirke Mechem, Chus Alonso and Marcus Shelby.

Bay Area native Alexis Lane Jensen is a classically trained singer who maintains a diverse performance career. She is at home on a variety of stages- concert, opera, musical theater, jazz, pop, rock and of course, cabaret! Specializing in the music of Kurt Weill and his contemporaries, Ms. Jensen enjoys presenting their work along with standards from the American Songbook and art songs by both well and lesser known composers. She was named Best Female Crooner in the 2011 SF Cabaret Showcase contest, and upcoming engagements include Weill’s The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny with the Redwood Symphony in August 2016.

Ms. Lovejoy and Ms. Jensen have put together an evening of International Cabaret music from Berlin to the Barbary Coast. You’ll hear songs in German, French and English by Kurt Weill, favorites from France, Spain and the United States composed by Poulenc, Lenoir, Farres and Bolcom, and of course, originals by Allison Lovejoy!
